El propósito del Plan Maestro de Desarrollo Turístico para Villa de La Paz, es generar un nuevo interés en esta población cuya principal fuente econoómica era la minería, e incorporar los objetos arquitectónicos e infraestructura construídos y en desuso, a un programa de reutilización. Promover un nuevo circuito turístico que conecte con las localidades mineras cercanas incorporando proyectos puntuales de intervención en plazas, recorridos e imagen urbana.

The main source of income in Villa de la Paz used to be mining, and the purpose of the Touristic Development Plan is to generate new interest in this town, integrating the existing infrastructure and architecture (both in use and disuse) with a program of renovation. In addition, the aim was to create a new tourist circuit which connects the nearby mining populations, incorporating points of interest in the main squares, tourist routes and urban image.
